In the latest Days of our Lives promo (spoilers preview) for the week of September 16, Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) zero in on his attacker while Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) heat up in more ways than one.

As things heat up next week, Steve (Stephen Nichols) is with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) at the Brady Pub when he tells her that he wants her to run another DNA test on Abigail (AnnaLynne McCord).
Meanwhile, Mark (Jonah Robinson) goes to visit Clyde (James Read) in prison, and Clyde tells him he’d better get his sister hitched to Chad (Billy Flynn) pronto. It looks like Chad and Abigail are getting cozy, and Mark starts to wonder if his sister is really falling for the guy.
Rafe tells Jada that he heard a voice on the day of his attack and he’s pretty sure it was a woman – are they zeroing in on Connie (Julie Dove)? Speaking of Connie, she’s taking drastic measures, aiming to stab Melinda (Tina Huang), and they end up in a struggle.
Plus, Stefan (Brandon Barash) walks in on Connie holding a knife to Ava’s (Tamara Braun) neck. And things really start to heat up as Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) lock lips, EJ and Gabi also share a kiss, and Jada stumbles upon someone in Connie’s bed. All of a sudden, an explosion goes off as Gabi screams and EJ, well, he takes a tumble.
