I recently got the opportunity to speak with the lovely Denise Crosby, who you may recognize from shows like Ray Donovan, The Walking Dead and a little show called Star Trek: The Next Generation!  Read as she talks in-depth about her latest role as Faye Richardson on the USA Network show Suits. Denise joins the cast of the hit show in its final season and her character is definitely there to shake things up!

Faye Richardson is sent by the New York Bar Association as a “Special Master” to take control of the law firm is the wake of some detrimental behavior by its members. “They are on the verge of total disaster.” And Crosby says that Faye is not messing around once she walks through those doors. It’s revealed over the season that Faye has seen firsthand just how damaging the situation can be and knows that she will need to get some of the firm to see her side of the situation. She, of course, will get some pushback, especially from Harvey Specter. Crosby describes Harvey as a “cowboy who likes to do things his own way.” This leads Faye to try to appeal to the voice of reason in the firm, Donna Paulsen. We’ll have to wait and see if her plan works out for the better or if the firm will crumble beneath them.

Denise was truly excited to get the role of Faye even if she had never seen the show before. As we all know there is never enough time in the day to watch the plethora of shows out there, and Suits had always been on her radar. She finally got the chance to catch up before showing up on set. “This is a well-written show and it’s just so exciting to have a part like this that you can really sink your teeth in.” She notes that she and her character are extremely different in nature. And it’s always fun to get out of your comfort zone. “She’s bold! I could use a little bit of Faye Richardson in my life.

Crosby also has found it special being part of the show in its final season. She is getting to see the heart and emotion the cast of Suits is putting into the season as they say their goodbyes to the show. The cast has also welcomed her with open arms and has made it an all-around wonderful experience.

I’m just excited about what this has to offer!” She said about the role. And she wanted to say to her fans: “I would just like to thank [you] for being such devoted fans and being supportive of my work. I hope [you] find Suits as delightful as I have.

Soap Opera News would like to thank Denise for a lovely interview! And be sure to check Suits out on the USA Network on Wednesdays at 9/8c.
