General Hospital rising star Finn Francis Carr (Rocco Falconeri) recently graced Maurice Benard’s (Sonny) YouTube show, State of Mind, and let’s just say—the episode is a must-see!
Finn kicked things off with some hearty laughter and spilled the deets on his background. During the conversation, he revealed that he was born in Oakland and raised in San Francisco. He also mentioned having an older brother and a younger sister. Finn dove into his acting journey and even shared about his experience with depression.
He noted that he landed his first gig at the tender age of 4–a guest star role on Hot In Cleveland, where he had the honor of meeting the legendary Betty White (may she rest in peace)—talk about a résumé booster at age four!
The chat took a serious turn toward mental health, naturally a key theme of Benard’s show. Finn reminisced about a few years back when he had an experience with seasonal depression. He said, “I remember I asked to see a therapist, and because of COVID and stuff, there were no in-person [sessions].” And let’s be real, no one wants to spill their guts on Zoom while in their room where others might be able to hear! As Carr noted, he prefers an in-person setting—for those heart-to-heart chats.
Finn Francis Carr on State of Mind:
Reflecting on the past struggles, he quipped, “It’s hard to kind of think back on that because it was something that, um, I didn’t really tell a lot of people about it…”
Finn also revealed his get-better secret: exercise! He swam in cold water, which was like the master therapy he needed. He also spoke about having anxiety, which he says is genetic, and his experience with panic attacks!
Finn Francis Carr also shared his two cents about the differences between working on other serials and daytime soap operas. But hey, don’t just take my word for it—check out the full interview below for all the laughs and insights!
