Jessica Tuck is making a return to the soap opera genre, this time expanding her creative repertoire by serving as a director on General Hospital, where she previously portrayed Cassandra Pierce.
The News Breaks via Chris McKenna
The news was first shared by actor Chris McKenna, who recently experienced not one but two One Life to Live reunions on the GH set. That includes the appearance of Erika Slezak (who played his mother on OLTL), making her debut this week on General Hospital.
McKenna took to X (formerly Twitter) with a behind-the-scenes photo to announce Tuck’s new role. His caption read:
“And the magic keeps on happening! #JessicaTuck has joined us! This is her first day DIRECTING! We’re so lucky to have her on board. #OLTL #GH #Megan #Joey.”
Tuck originally played Megan Gordon Harrison on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. She later joined Days of Our Lives in the role of Madeline Peterson Woods in 2010. Years later, she joined General Hospital in 2017, portraying Cassandra Pierce.
Cassandra was introduced as a hypochondriac in Monaco who was secretly running drug trafficking operations. She had a complicated past with Valentin Cassadine, with whom she had both professional and romantic ties.
Cassandra attempted to rekindle both relationships, but Valentin turned her down. She then resorted to blackmail, forcing Valentin to cooperate. However, Valentin was secretly working with the WSB to take her down. Eventually, the character was killed off.
Fan Reactions to the News
Fans had plenty to say about McKenna’s post and the return of Jessica Tuck—this time behind the camera.
A fan named Bella wrote:
“Oh! Ok so wanted the “C” to be Cassandra with all the Cesar Faison talk being a good old-fashioned red herring!”
Another fan commented:
“Wow! So I guess the “C” isn’t for Cassandra then!”
