EW is reporting that Kelly Rowland is transfiguring her own true to life Christmas holiday story mishap into a Lifetime movie.
Rowland stars as Jacquie in Merry Liddle Christmas. The premise of the movie centers on a glossy video shoot of the perfect holiday for the successful single tech entrepreneur who will also have a chance at love with a neighbor. It is worth noting that dating this particular neighbor would break one of Jacquie’s dating rules. She is also hosting her particularly challenging, a better description might be dysfunctional family, during the holidays which is sure to bring a “fun” dynamic to the festivities. This movie is inspired by Rowland’s own personal “catastrophe” which we are sure we will all be able to relate to in some way or another for those of us who have entertained family over the holidays!
Rowland and her husband Tim Weatherspoon are among the movie’s executive producers. Merry Liddle Christmas is one of 28 original Yuletide-themed flicks that Lifetime plans to debut this year in “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime”. The campaign will run from Oct. 25 through Dec. 25.
