Laura Wright – Carly Corinthos, General Hospital
Wright is an outstanding actress. This year could be the year she wins her second Daytime Emmy Award after winning the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011. She has been nominated several times since in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 and now 2019. With her exceptional work on the ABC daytime drama in 2018, there’s a possibility she could take home the award.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood – Steffy Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful
Wood is yet to win a Daytime Emmy award – could this be her first? Wood has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2012 and 2013 and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2018 and now Outstanding Lead Actress for this year’s award. With the work done in 2018, Wood is also a strong contender in this category.
Maura West – Ava Jerome, General Hospital
West is soap gold. She already has 3 Emmy award wins to her name and it’s highly likely she will take home her 4th one this year. We are predicting that West will take home her fourth Emmy this year.
