Head Writer Josh Griffith revealed that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is overwhelmed with Adam (Mark Grossman) being back from the dead and the drama that he has created around the custody of his sons. And then, of course, the recent death of her husband, Calvin. May he rest in peace.
Chelsea opts to go with the safer and less complicated option with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Nick, on the other hand, has moved on from Chelsea’s betrayal and quick exit last year. Now he wants to try and move forward together with his ex. And with Nick and Chelsea teaming up together to take down Adam, that seems likely to happen. Especially, when we find out the route that Adam has chosen to try and convince Chelsea to come back to him.
Rey, who is working for Nick, discovers that Adam recorded Chelsea and her late husband’s last conversation. The two were arguing over Calvin’s sudden and unexpected change of heart regarding the custody of Connor. Now with the inconclusive autopsy results for Calvin and a motive for wanting him dead, Chelsea is in some serious trouble. Griffith states that “Chelsea knows what Adam is capable of but she never thought he would turn on her.“
Adam seems to be pulling a classic Adam Newman move and spinning a situation to try and force the result he wants. He believes that putting heat on Chelsea will somehow make her turn to him for help. Adam needs to be careful though. This power move could force Chelsea in the opposite direction to his rival and brother, Nick. And as Griffth notes “A rejected Adam is a dangerous Adam.“
What do you think of Nick and Chelsea reuniting? And what do you think of Adam’s latest plan? Let us know.
