Former soap star, Ricky Paull Goldin revealed that his partner, Gretta Monahan has breast cancer. In a very touching and emotional Instagram letter to his wife he wrote:
“Dear Gretta
Our world has been turned upside down with the diagnosis of breast cancer. I will be by your side for every step of this journey. YOUR diagnosis will be OUR diagnosis. YOUR Surgery will be OUR surgery. Your pain will be OUR pain. And YOUR full recovery will be OUR full recovery.
” The time has come to turn your heart into a temple of fire. Your essence is GOLD hidden in dust. To reveal its splendor you need to burn in the fire of love.”-RUMI I will give you all of my love until there is nothing left to give…
And you will be well once more…
Your children and the world need you more than words can ever express.

Goldin and Monahan have been together since 2009. They have two sons one born in October 2010 and the other in June 2017. Goldin is known for his many soap roles such as; Dean Frame on Another World, Gary Dawson on The Young and the Restless, Gus Aitoro on Guiding Light, Jake Martin on All My Children and Jesse Graves on The Bold and the Beautiful.
