Suzanne Rogers is celebrating her 81st birthday today.
She was born Suzanne Cecelia Crumpler on July 9, 1943, in Midland, Maryland, to Pete and Edna Crumpler, her parents.
Growing up in Colonial Heights, Virginia, Suzanne’s passion for dancing blossomed at a very young age. As a toddler, she would often mimic the movements of dancers she saw on television, and her parents noticed her natural talent early on. Encouraged by her family, she began formal dancing lessons and quickly excelled in various dance styles.
As she honed her skills, Suzanne also found a love for acting, frequently participating in school plays and local theater productions. Her dedication and talent eventually led her to pursue a career in entertainment, and she adopted the stage name inspired by the iconic Ginger Rogers, a symbol of grace and resilience in the world of performing arts.
Following in her idol’s footsteps, she embarked on a journey that would see her become a well-known American actress with contributions to both film and television. One of her most enduring roles is that of Maggie Horton, a character she brought to life on Days of Our Lives and has been playing since 1973.
