Melissa Claire Egan has once again made a major hair change. The popular actress, who plays Chelsea Lawson on The Young and the Restless, recently took to her Instagram stories to unveil a gorgeous new look for the sunny season. She has gone blonde!
Egan kicked off the fun social media reveal by playful teasing her loyal followers. “You know me! Always craving a change!!” she wrote while showing fans an entertaining before-and-after moment in the video clip.
As daytime viewers well know, Egan has been sporting a chic, shoulder-length bob since December of last year. Now, that very same trendy bob has completely transformed from a deep brunette shade into a bright, sun-kissed blonde.

The stunning dye job was crafted by Bre Lynn, a color and extension specialist based in Los Angeles, along with Whitney Colleen, a talented hairstylist. Both beauty professionals are associated with the upscale RA Hair House located in West Hollywood.
“Thanks for my fresh summer look,” Egan shared while posting a final picture of the beautiful finished product.
There is currently no word on whether we are going to see Chelsea Lawson rocking this blonde bob on screen on The Young and the Restless.
Either way, this is far from the first time Egan has opted for a dramatic style switch. Over the years, soap fans have watched her seamlessly transition from brunette to blonde, blonde back to brunette, long flowing locks to short crops, curly hair, and everything in between. She can truly pull off any style she tries.
