Reports continue to emerge from those affected by the devastating wildfires in California. Jessica Serfaty, who portrayed Sloan Peterson on Days of Our Lives, shared the heartbreaking news—she lost her home. In a carousel of images on her Instagram that capture the stark contrast of her home before and after the disaster, she stated, “My home. Gone overnight. I haven’t stopped screaming and crying for the last two days. Punch pillows where my face will be buried, bleeding with hot tears. My bones ache. To live through such a tragedy is nothing something one never prepares for. Utter disbeliefe. Denial. Impossible. I will blink and wake up. This last year was undeniably the most difficult traumatic year f my life. The grieving continues. x”
The Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset Fires are impacting Los Angeles County, with the Eaton Fire claiming at least seven lives. Three additional fire-related deaths were confirmed, raising the death toll of the wildfires to at least 10. According to reports, as of Thursday, over 27,000 acres have burned and more than 10,000 structures have been destroyed.
