Beyond the Gates actor Jaden Lucas Miller, who recurs as Tyrell Richardson, is clearly on a roll.
The rising star continues to lock in new opportunities, with the Raleigh native recently revealed as part of the cast of the martial arts feature Paper Made, which is currently filming in Tampa, Florida.
Reports confirm the project boasts a strong lineup. The cast includes Michael Jai White, Myles Truitt, Taimak, Walter E. Jones, Quartay DeNaya, Daria Rae Berenato, Marrese Crump, Jaden Lucas Miller, and Zephaniah Terry.
Inside the Film Paper Made
Ryan Watson’s (who is the writer and director) film is set at a fictional HBCU and centers on Tavon Watkins. After a severe hazing incident, Tavon becomes involved with a secret fraternity made up of Black martial artists.
The script was co-written by Watson and Jerron Horton.
The ensemble cast also includes wrestler Jamara Garrett, also known as Mara Sadé, stuntman and martial artist Sam Lee Herring, and martial artist Jair Muhammad.
Miller’s Career Continues to Grow
Outside of his role on the CBS daytime drama, Miller also plays Laz in Divorced Sistas. His career has been steadily building over the last few years.
Miller also graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 2024 and enrolled at North Carolina A&T State University later that same year. In addition to his television work, he appeared as Michael Jr. in the 2024 parody film Not Another Church Movie.
He has also landed guest roles on true crime series including Murder Decoded and Homicide Hunter.
Celebrating One Year on Beyond the Gates
Miller is also among the cast members who recently celebrated the one year anniversary of Beyond the Gates. The CBS daytime drama premiered in February 2025 and quickly built a loyal audience.
Fans currently see Miller on the show as Tyrell Richardson, a teenager navigating life with two dads, his sister, and the ups and downs of young love.
